Advanced Asana Weekend
27–28 November 2026
With Hanne Mogensen, founder of FlowFabrik
Suitable for both yoga teachers as well as experienced practitioners who want to go deeper
- not only into advanced asanas, but into themselves.
We work precisely, intelligently, playfully, and with deep respect for different bodies.
We explore advanced shapes - not as performance, not as achievement, but as intelligent movement, strength, curiosity and honest self‑study.
This workshop weekend is YACEP‑approved (Yoga Alliance continuing education)

FRIDAY — 27 November
17:30–21:00
Theory & Practice - Spinal Exploration
We start the weekend by looking at why we practice asana at all. We explore this question through anatomy and also through philosophy. How does moving the body help us step closer to spiritual freedom — or whatever word feels right for you. How does physical practice become a way to meet yourself honestly.
Then we move into the physical practice. We begin with rotation (twisting) and then move into extension (backbending), because these two directions are important for many advanced shapes. Twists help to release tension, stabilize the core, and teach you to move the spine in a more controlled way. Backbends help to open the front body and make the back body stronger.
We look at how this supports deeper poses like Urdhva Dhanurasana, Dancer, and deep binds such as Marichyasana C/D. Not because we “must” do these shapes, but because they show us how the body organizes itself when things get more challenging.
Together, twisting and backbending build the strength, mobility and clarity you need for advanced shapes — not by pushing the body, but by preparing it step by step and listening to what feels right.
SATURDAY — 28 November
13:30–18:30
Theory & Practice - Ego, Inversions and Arm Balances
We start the day by looking at how the ego shows up in practice. How you speak to yourself on the mat is usually how you speak to yourself everywhere. Do you push too hard, do you judge, do you compare, or do you give up too fast. We explore these patterns gently — not to shame them, but to understand them. Advanced practice becomes more honest when the inner voice becomes more supportive.
We look at how to prepare the body for advanced shapes. We explore intelligent sequencing: how to warm up step by step, how to choose movements that make sense, and how to build a practice that feels safe, strong and logical. Good preparation helps the body feel ready instead of overwhelmed.
In the physical practice we work with arm balances and inversions, because these shapes teach us about stability, coordination and trust. We break the poses down, warm up the right areas, and explore how sequencing supports confidence and control.
We look at poses like Crow, Side Crow, Koundinyasana, and Headstand. Not because we “must” do them, but because they show us how the body and mind react when things get more demanding — and how a clear inner voice can change the whole experience.
Together, arm balances and inversions build strength, focus and clarity.
We finish the day with a gentle cool down and a circle, offering space to share if you wish.
